IFIN-HH is engaged in research and development in a wide variety of areas of fundamental and applied research, as well as theoretical physics, astrophysics, nuclear physics, atomic physics, life and environmental physics, nuclear techniques and advanced communication systems. IFIN-HH constitutes an important part of the infrastructure of research in Romania, which mission to enhance the positive impact of nuclear field on the industry and other areas of the national economy and the society in general, through a unique tender of professional services. IFIN-HH develop activities related to the qualification and/or specialization of personnel for the nuclear applications or other related fields and has grant agreements with different universities for supervising master and PhD students.
